I am writing here not on an eGPU/NVIDIA forum as this is an issue related to the Ubuntu install. Select to auto switch to the eGPU or the internal GPU automatically with. Now the tool’s generated the Xorg configuration in /etc/X11/. I would like the NVIDIA GPU to be used if connected, else use the Intel integrated GPU. The program will ask you to first select the INTERNAL GPU: dismiss this configuration with N and proceed selecting the eGPU. Is it possible to install Ubuntu to automatically use an eGPU? Has anyone had issues with newer NVIDIA drivers on Ubuntu 20.04 and eGPU?Īlso, I am trying to understand better how to modify the nf file to support two GPUs. However, after the reboot and registering the drivers in secure boot, I again get stuck on a black screen with the text: I selected the option that 3rd party drivers be installed and Ubuntu then automatically installed the NVIDIA drivers (450).
